Details
The MKS series is a pneumatic clamping element. It is designed to maintain a fixed position on a linear profile rail. Normally Closed (NC) / Energize to Open. The unit uses spring-loaded energy storage to clamp the rail when air pressure is removed. This makes it a reliable safety element that maintains a fixed position during power or pressure failures. A pneumatic piston moves a patented wedge-type gear longitudinally, converting the movement into high transverse clamping force applied directly to the free surfaces of the rail. The MKS series is designed to hold a carriage in a fixed position (e.g., for heavy machining or fixing vertical axes) and is not suitable for active braking of moving loads. Features are : Non-Guiding Design, Maintenance-Free, PLUS Air Connection, Zero-Load Clamping, Self-Centering Action, Environmental Resilience, Precision and Speed, Safety Clamping, High Cycle Life. Applications : Emergency Stops, Fixing Vertical Axes, Table Retention, Positioning Axes, CNC Machining Centers, Automated Assembly Lines, Medical & Lab Automation, Packaging Machinery, Material Handling. MKS: This is a "Normally Closed" (NC) series, meaning the default state is Locked. It uses internal springs to clamp and needs air pressure to "open."
