Details
The MK series is an "Energize to Close" pneumatic clamping element, it is specifically designed to stop or maintain fixed positions on profile rail guides. This patented system uses smooth-running rollers to convert the longitudinal force of the pneumatic piston into a transverse clamping force. This allows for very high holding forces without the risk of permanent jamming. The unit is an active clamping element, meaning it remains open by default and requires compressed air to activate the clamping jaws. The clamping jaws press against the "free" (non-functional) surfaces of the rail. This ensures that no clamping forces are transferred to the rail carriage, protecting the bearings and maintaining system precision. Features are : No Guiding Function, High Holding Force, Positioning Accuracy, High-Speed Response, Low Maintenance Design, Flexible Air Connections, Minimal Displacement. Applications : Positioning of Axes, Fixing of Vertical Axes, Positioning of Lifting Units, Clamping of Machining Tables, Semiconductor Manufacturing, Automotive Assembly, Packaging & Material Handling, Medical & Pharmaceutical. MK=Series MK of clamping elements. These are "Normally Open" (NO) units that are energised to close; they only apply clamping force when pneumatic pressure is provided.
