The Unibal SSE..50 series is a maintenance-free spherical plain bearing from the Competition Series. It consists of an inner ring with a convex outer surface and an outer ring with a concave inner surface. This design allows for high load-carrying capacity and accommodates misalignment. The SSE series bearings are designed to be self-lubricating, requiring no upkeep during operation. This is different from the standard SS series, which requires regular lubrication. Material : It features a steel-on-PTFE sliding contact. During the run-in period, PTFE particles are transferred to the inner ring, creating a low-friction, self-lubricating surface.
