The THK RB series is a high-precision, thin-section Cross-Roller Ring designed for applications where high rotational accuracy of the inner ring is critical. It features a separable outer ring and an integrated inner ring, allowing for a compact design that maintains high rigidity even under complex loading conditions. Cylindrical rollers are arranged perpendicularly in a 90° V-groove. This "cross" orientation enables a single bearing to absorb radial, axial, and moment loads simultaneously. Unlike standard sheet metal cages, the THK RB series uses spacer retainers between rollers to prevent skewing and friction-induced torque spikes, ensuring stable rotation even under preload. Material : The rings and rollers are typically crafted from high-carbon chromium bearing steel (GCr15), providing the necessary hardness and fatigue resistance.
