Radial spherical plain bearings are designed to accommodate radial and combined radial and axial loads, and also misalignment. It is specifically engineered to accommodate misalignment and shaft deflections during oscillating or tilting movements. This is an "open" type bearing, meaning it does not have integrated seals. It features a steel-on-steel sliding contact surface, where both the inner and outer rings are made of high-grade bearing steel.
