These bearing is a precision-engineered elastic coupling specifically configured for use with Taper Lock Bushings. The "TBI" designation distinguishes it from the standard "TB" model by specifying that the taper bush is installed from the Inside the side facing the coupling gap. This configuration is ideal for applications where external clearance for tools is limited. The taper bush provides a secure, shrink-fit-like connection to the shaft, which eliminates the risk of "fretting" corrosion common in standard keyed hubs.
