The R+W ST4 is a highly engineered, heavy-duty industrial safety coupling (torque limiter) combined with a flexible gear coupling. It provides instantaneous mechanical separation of the drive and driven sides during a torque overload, protecting massive industrial machinery from catastrophic structural damage. The integrated double-engagement gear hub actively compensates for simultaneous axial, lateral, and angular misalignments between shafts.
