The R+W SK5 is a high-precision, backlash-free torque limiting safety coupling designed with a blind-mate, pluggable metal bellows system. It protects machinery from catastrophic structural damage caused by sudden overloads. A specialized backlash-free safety clutch variant featuring dual clamping hubs. One side features an integrated, tapered male segment that allows the coupling to be plugged in or mated blindly inside closed machinery housings.
