The EK2 is a high-precision, backlash-free elastomer coupling manufactured by R+W. Part of the EK2 Series, it is a flexible shaft coupling featuring two clamping hubs and a preloaded elastomer insert designed for vibration damping and high-speed stability. Represents a precision elastomer coupling with clamping hubs that are easy to mount and ensure high concentricity. The "A" designation refers to the hardness level of the elastomer insert (commonly a Shore 98 A or 64 D TPU), which dictates the coupling's torsional stiffness and vibration-damping capabilities. Material: Hubs are constructed from high-strength aluminum, while the insert is made of wear-resistant, thermally stable TPU.
