The EK is a specific precision elastomer coupling manufactured by R+W Coupling Technology. It is designed for low-torque industrial and servo drive applications that require zero-backlash torque transmission and vibration damping. An elastomer coupling featuring a keyway mounting with set screws (DIN 916). This design provides a secure mechanical connection with low play and high concentricity. The elastomer insert type (often called a "spider"). Type A typically denotes a specific shore hardness (durometer) which determines the coupling's torque capacity and damping characteristics.
