Ruland’s double width collars in one piece clamp design in are available in steel and stainless steel. Clamp style collars wrap around the shaft, providing high torsional holding power without the shaft damage and fretting that occurs when set screw style collars are used. The clamp style design does not mar the shaft, is easy to remove, and is indefinitely adjustable. It is commonly used for guiding, spacing, stopping, mounting, and component alignment. This double wide shaft collar has 25% higher axial holding power than a round bore of equivalent size. It can also be used as a short rigid coupling for applications where a traditional rigid coupling is too long. Single point faced, Balanced versions available, Additional sizes available. Steel - Black Oxide (F) Cold drawn bar. Hot process black oxide, impregnated with napthenic oil, centrifugal dried.
