Threaded collars provide axial holding power superior to smooth bore collars, while offering easier installation and adjustment than solid ring locking devices. The clamp style design will not mar the shaft.TSP is commonly used for guiding, spacing, stopping, mounting, and component alignment. Proprietary processes have been developed by Ruland to maintain superior fit, finish, and holding power.Ruland uses 1215 lead-free steel with a proprietary black oxide finish that produces a fine glossy finish while increasing holding power and resisting corrosion. Perpendicularity is critical for alignment when the shaft collar is used as a load bearing face, mechanical stop, or for mounting components such as gears or bearings. Single point faced, Acme and Left-hand threads available, Opposing screws available. Steel - Black Oxide (F) Cold drawn bar. Hot process black oxide, impregnated with napthenic oil, centrifugal dried.
