Threaded Bore (in) = 1.5000 UNC. Clamp style collars with threaded bores are also available. Threaded collars provide axial holding power superior to smooth bore collars, while offering easier installation and adjustment than solid ring locking devices. Ruland double taps threads to ensure a precise and burr-free finish allowing for easy installation and removal, proper fit, and extended shaft life. The clamp style design will not mar the shaft. It is commonly used for guiding, spacing, stopping, mounting, and component alignment. Perpendicularity is critical for alignment when the shaft collar is used as a load bearing face, mechanical stop, or for mounting components such as gears or bearings. TCL is stamped with the Ruland name and bore size for ease of identification. Forged screws test beyond ANSI standards to ensure maximum holding power. Single point faced, Acme and Left-hand threads available. Steel - Black Oxide (F) Cold drawn bar. Hot process black oxide, impregnated with napthenic oil, centrifugal dried.
