Unlike standard wide-foot pillow blocks that secure from the top via two slotted ears, the "SWG" type uses a compact, tapped-bolt housing footprint. It is specifically engineered for confined machinery layout spaces where robust cast-iron support is mandatory. The internal insert mimics a deep-groove radial ball bearing, featuring deep, unbroken raceway grooves. This specific geometry allows the unit to handle combined radial loads and moderate axial (thrust) loads in either direction. Material : The housing is constructed from heavy-duty gray cast iron (GG20), and the internal bearing insert is made of high-carbon chromium steel (GCr15).
