The Permaglide Bushing is a high-performance, low-maintenance metal-polymer composite plain bearing strip manufactured by Permaglide. Designed for heavy-duty industrial and automotive systems, the P23 series is engineered to operate under continuous or hydrodynamic fluid lubrication. The strip features a cross-sectional multi-layer system optimized for load-bearing strength and continuous low-friction sliding. It utilizes a rigid steel backing bonded to a porous bronze sinter matrix, which is subsequently impregnated with a polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) polymer blend containing lead.
