The NTN EPB2 bearing is a high-performance, heavy-duty Type E two-bolt cast iron pillow block unit, specifically engineered for extreme industrial applications requiring superior load management, durability, and resilience to misalignment and contaminants. The bearing insert utilizes spherical rolling elements arranged in double rows. The contact surface of rollers is a line contact, enabling them to support significantly higher radial and axial loads than ball bearings. The self-aligning capability accommodates static and dynamic angular misalignment of up to ±2° without compromising performance or service life. A superior double-lip sealing construction is used, comprising an oil-resistant synthetic rubber seal and a metal flinger (slinger). This design creates a long path for contaminants and utilizes excess grease as an additional barrier, providing reliable protection in extreme environments.
