This bearing is a high-precision, miniature grooved thrust ball bearing manufactured by MinebeaMitsumi Inc. (NMB Technologies). Unlike flat-wash thrust bearings, both washers feature a precision-engineered micro-groove track. This design firmly guides the balls, minimizes friction, and allows the bearing to handle higher axial loads at elevated speeds. The entire assembly is completely modular. The shaft washer, housing washer, and ball-and-cage assembly can be uncoupled and mounted independently, making installation and maintenance highly straightforward. The bearing is explicitly designed to handle forces acting parallel to the shaft (thrust loads). It cannot tolerate radial (perpendicular) loads, meaning it must be paired with a radial bearing if multi-directional forces are present. Material: The rings and balls are made of high-grade martensitic stainless steel (NMB DD400 / SUS440C equivalent), and the ball assembly is held together by a matching stainless steel cage.
