These bearing is a double row tapered roller bearing. Instead of using spherical balls, this unit relies on two tracks of cone-shaped rollers sloped toward a central pressure center. Single-row tapered bearings can only handle thrust in one direction. By placing two rows back-to-back, this model acts as an axial anchor.
