These blocks are specialized, corrosion-resistant stainless steel pillow block bearing unit engineered to support rotating shafts parallel to a mounting surface. Widely utilized in cleanrooms, pharmaceutical hubs, marine decks, and chemical plants, it is the primary standard for washdown environments where conventional cast iron units would quickly rust or contaminate production lines. Employs two dual set-screws (grub screws) offset at 120° on the inner ring extension. Tightening clamps the ring tightly onto the shaft. The recommended shaft tolerance class is h6 or js6 to prevent the shaft from spinning loose under alternating loads. Material : The unit consists of an AISI 304 stainless steel housing, an AISI 420C stainless steel bearing, and a NBR nitrile rubber lip seal with a stainless steel slinger.
