Details

The CYR bearing is a specialized, heavy-duty mechanical component classified as a yoke-type track roller or cam follower. Unlike standard ball bearings designed for high-speed shaft rotation, this bearing is engineered to roll directly along flat tracks, cams, ramps, and conveyor beds under extreme loads. This bearing does not have an integrated threaded stud. Instead, it features a precision-ground inner ring (bore) meant to be mounted onto a support pin, shaft, or clevis. The inner cavity is packed completely with cylindrical needle rollers without using a retaining cage. This maximizes the internal contact surface area, allowing the bearing to absorb massive radial forces and sudden impact shocks.
