Details

The FCL-K bearing is designed to transmit torque in one direction of rotation while allowing free-wheeling in the opposite direction. It is a compact, full-complement needle roller bearing which requires a hardened and machined shaft for optimal performance, as it does not come with an inner ring. A key feature of the Nadella FCL-K series is the use of a stainless steel spring for the roller clutch, which contributes to higher operating temperatures and durability compared to standard polymer springs. It features a thin-walled, drawn outer cup that is press-fit into the housing. This design provides high load capacity within minimal radial space. The bearing does not include an inner ring, requiring the user's shaft to be hardened and precisely machined to serve as the inner raceway for optimal performance and extended bearing life.
