RJUM is a series of closed linear plain bearings (“Closed” meaning the bearing liner is fully enclosed in an adapter and housing, not open or slotted). They are designed to be dimensionally compatible with certain recirculating ball bearings, i.e. they often match the standard outer, inner or length dimensions so they can be swapped (in some cases) without changing the mechanical envelope. They use a polymer liner, inside an aluminum adapter (anodized). This gives a self-lubricating sliding bearing rather than rolling elements.
