M=Solid Brass Cage, This is the insulating ceramic oxide coating (on one of the rings, typically outer ring) applied by plasma spraying, sealed with resin. Provides electrical insulation, often against stray currents, especially in humid/damp environments. C4=Internal Clearance Larger Than Normal. It is an electrically insulated deep groove ball bearing. A special coating on the outer ring (J20AA) protects against bearing damage and eventual failure due to the passage of electric current.
