BEARING INSERT NO= VS-227. The Browning VTBS is a standard duty tapped-base pillow block ball bearing unit. The tapped base allows the unit to be bolted tightly from the bottom, saving lateral space compared to standard flanged or wide-foot pillow blocks. Utilizes a proprietary zone-hardened inner ring combined with a 120° spaced set screw lock. The set screws feature diamond-faceted tips engineered to bite tightly into the shaft. This significantly reduces slippage and limits inner-ring distortion. Material : Heavy-duty cast iron housing finished with a protective grey epoxy powder coating, enclosing a high-carbon 52100 chrome steel bearing insert equipped with a black-oxided inner ring and flexible nitrile rubber seals. Features are : Anti-Rotation Pin, Relubricable System, Spherical Alignment, Fixed Non-Expansion Designation, Load Rating, Replacement Insert, Maximum Rotation Speed, Temperature Tolerance.
