BEARING INSERT NO= VS-108. The VPS is a two-bolt pillow block mounted ball bearing unit manufactured under the Browning. It features an intermediate-duty design paired with a ductile/malleable iron housing, providing high fracture resistance under shock loads in conveyor, HVAC fan, and general industrial transmission drives. Utilizes specialized set screws configured at a 120° angle spacing on a zone-hardened inner ring. This design provides maximum shaft gripping power and minimizes ring distortion, preventing the bearing from slipping or scoring the shaft under reversing loads. Material : Cast iron housing with a gray powder-coat epoxy finish and a 52100 bearing steel featuring a black-oxide coated inner ring and a protective single-lip rubber contact seal paired with a rugged steel flinger.
