Spherical Plain Bearings are two-piece plain bearings. They have no rolling elements, but consist of an inner and outer ring. The inner ring has a convex outer surface. The outer ring has a concave inner surface. This construction gives Spherical Plain Bearings their high load carrying capacity and capacity to accommodate misalignment. Mating materials: Steel on heavy-duty bronze, Maintenance required. Inner ring: Antifriction bearing steel, hardened, ground and polished. Outer ring: Outer diameter ground. Sliding face made of high-duty bronze. Lubricant is distributed via the lubricating groove in the outer ring.
