Spherical Plain Bearings acccording to DIN ISO 12240-1 Dimesion Series K are two-piece plain bearings. They have no rolling elements, but consist of an inner and outer ring. The inner ring has a convex outer surface. The outer ring has a concave inner surface. This construction gives Spherical Plain Bearings their high load carrying capacity and capacity to accommodate misalignment. It has a steel on heavy duty bronze sliding contact. The steel inner ring contacts the bronze surface of the outer ring. The steel-on-bronze sliding contact makes this bearing highly wear-resistant, providing low friction. Regular Maintenance & Proper lubrication is required.
