BARDEN

Barden/FAG is a leading manufacturer of super precision ball bearings. If you need superior accuracy, long life, reliability, low noise and vibration as well as high speed, Barden/FAG precision bearings.

Barden Bearings product lines include radial, single row, super precision angular contact (separable and non-separable) and deep groove ball bearings. Bearings are rated as either instrument or spindle bearings, and are manufactured to meet or exceed ABEC-7 or ABEC-9 specifications. Barden also offers ball screw support bearings, cylindrical roller bearings and double direction angular contact thrust ball bearings.

Barden Instrument Bearings:

  • Barden Angular Contact Instrument Bearings

Barden angular contact bearings have one ring shoulder partially or totally removed which allows a larger ball complement than comparable deep groove bearings and therefore a greater load capacity as well as a greater speed capability.

Barden Angular Contact instrument bearings barden angular contact bearings are assembled to a contact angle by varying the radial clearance. Instrument angular contact bearings have nominal contact angles of either 10° or 15°. Barden angular contact bearings are available in separable and non-separable types. In a separable bearing (B type), the cage holds the balls in place so that the outer ring assembly (with cage and balls) can be separated from the inner ring.

  • Barden Deep Groove Instrument Bearings

Barden deep groove ball bearings have full shoulders on both sides of the raceways of the inner and outer rings. Barden deep groove ball bearings can accept radial loads, thrust loads in either direction, or a combination of loads.

Barden deep groove bearings are designed to allow for the addition of closures which help keep out contaminants and keep in lubrication. Besides single deep groove bearings with closures, Barden also offers duplex pairs with seals or shields on the outboard faces.

Flanged bearings are especially useful in through-bored housings. The inboard side of the flange provides an accurate positioning surface for bearing alignment, eliminating a need for housing shoulders or shoulder rings.

Barden Spindle Bearings:

  • Barden Angular Contact Spindle Bearings

Barden angular contact spindle bearings have one ring shoulder partially or totally removed which allows a larger ball complement than comparable deep groove bearings and therefore a greater load capacity as well as a greater speed capability.

Barden angular contact spindle bearings are assembled to a contact angle by varying the radial clearance. Spindle size Barden angular contact bearings have nominal contact angles of either 15° or 25° with the smaller angle providing better radial capacity and rigidity, and the larger angle providing better axial rigidity.

  • Barden Deep Groove Spindle Bearing

Barden deep groove spindle ball bearings have full shoulders on both sides of the raceways of the inner and outer rings. Barden deep groove ball bearing can accept radial loads, thrust loads in either direction, or a combination of loads. Barden deep groove ball bearings are available in many sizes, with a variety of cage types.

The design of Barden deep groove spindle ball bearings makes them suitable for the addition of closures which help exclude contaminants and retain lubrication. Besides single deep groove bearings with closures, Barden also offers duplex pairs with seals or shields on the outboard faces. Extra wide, or cartridge width, deep groove bearings are available in series 9000 for installations requiring lengthy operation without re-lubrication. Series 9000 bearings have more interior free volume and therefore hold more grease.

  • Barden Ball Screw Support Bearings

Barden series L ball screw support bearings are specially designed for machine tool applications. Contact angle is high at 65° to provide axial rigidity and the very high thrust capacity. Barden ball screw support bearings are also available are the 7602.., 7603.. and BSB (15 mm width) series.

  •   Spindle Barden FAG ZSB Small Ball Angular Contact Shielded Series Bearings

Barden/FAG developed the ZSB small ball angular contact shielded series spindle bearings to allow machine tools to operate at higher running speeds (up to 20% more) while maintaining optimum work piece finish characteristics. The small ball feature of the ZSB series allows a greater number of balls to be used which increases bearing stiffness and leads to improved machining accuracy at higher speeds.

  • Barden Ceramic Hybrid Bearings

Barden Cronidur® 30 Ceramic Hybrid Bearings- The use of ceramic (silicon nitride) balls in place of steel balls can dramatically improve bearing performance in several ways. Ceramic balls are 60% lighter than steel balls, and their surface finish is almost perfectly smooth which means they can have vibration levels two to seven times lower than conventional steel ball bearings.

  • Barden Double Direct Angular Contact Thrust Bearing

Barden double direction angular contact thrust ball bearings achieve a very high level of rigidity through their internal design and preload. Barden double direction angular contact thrust ball bearings series 2344-2347 should be used in combination with cylindrical roller bearings because they carry only thrust loads. Use of a cylindrical roller bearing in combination with a double row cylindrical roller bearing offers the advantage of supporting both axial and radial forces separately.

  • Barden/FAG Double Row Cylindrical Roller Bearing

Barden/FAG double row cylindrical roller bearings are typically used in combination with double direction angular contact thrust bearings in applications where radial stiffness, high radial capacity and high precision support is required.

For axial loads, Barden/FAG double direction angular contact thrust bearings, Series 2344 are used in combination with Series NN30 bearings. The cage is of solid brass construction, making this bearing suitable for rugged applications. Barden/FAG double direction angular contact thrust bearings are designed for the demands of turning spindles and are available with ceramic rollers for higher speeds.
